Located in north-east Victoria, in the state’s renowned ‘High Country’, Mount Buller Alpine Resort is a three-hour drive from both Melbourne and Melbourne Airport. The resort, at 37.09° South and 146.27° East is at the edge of the vast Alpine National Park wilderness (Victoria’s largest). Mt Buller resort ranges in altitude from 1707 metres to 1805 metres and contains some of the state’s most spectacular alpine and sub-alpine terrain. The climate here is mild to cold, with temperatures ranging from 16.9°C to the mid 20s°C in summer, and from well below freezing to 11.3°C in winter. Directions:Mount Buller Alpine Resort is approximately 270 km (or three hours) north-east of Melbourne. Head north on the Hume Freeway (M31) to Seymour (95 km), then travel east on the Goulburn Valley Highway (B340) and Maroondah Highway (B300) for another 130 km until you reach Mansfield. Mount Buller is 45 km from here.Please note that it is compulsory to carry wheel chains when entering the Mount Buller Alpine Resort during the winter ski season. |
