The freshest and most wholesome produce is selected and prepared to express the foods deepest natural flavours.
Ring the bell for breakfast
Kims
Beach Hideaway contains a fully licensed restaurant and cocktail
lounge, where pre-dinner hors' d’oeuvres are served every evening. But
more importantly for the guest, all meals are included in the tariff.
Three
times each day, the historic ship’s bell rings for a buffet style
feast. Kims’ chefs continue to refine their talents and discover new
ways of presenting delicious food, varying the offerings daily. Not
surprisingly, guests return to Kims just for the meals!
Kim’s only serves a buffet and gives an entirely new meaning to the
word making it a personally selected degustation experience. The
freshest and most wholesome produce is selected and prepared to express
the foods deepest natural flavours.
Sheltered in a horseshoe bay
hidden from unsuspecting passers, Kims is Australia’s oldest beach
resort. The retreat almost entirely made out of wood presents a dining
room with large windows and a spacious veranda overlooking the Pacific
Ocean.
The menu changes daily but generally lunches at Kims
start with exquisite home made soups and delicious antipasto. Opt for
the fresh artichokes, semi dried tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini and
marinated mussels and octopus while enjoying a glass of the finest
Hunter Valley Chardonnay. Continue with the main course featuring
grilled ham and snapper, roast turkey and a large variety of salads
with beautiful home made dressings and a variety of delicious home made
breads like garlic, cheese and tomato focaccia, date and walnut roles
and French baguettes. One of the wines from the beautiful selection of
Hunter Valley and Victorian reds is sure to compliment this course.
For
dinner an amazing selection of succulent Australian seafood is on
offer. Try the Balmain bugs, Iluka king prawns, Tasmanian Barilla Bay
oysters, Blue swimmer crabs or fresh water bugs with a cool glass of
Yarra Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Or opt for the Braised belly pork with
fungi and red dates, the Rawalpindi beef curry with papadums, saffron
rice and condiments complimented with a glass of Victorian Shiraz.
Another option is always the yellowfin tuna and Tasmanian salmon
sashimi or the Kingfish sushi.
Desserts are plenty and abundant
at Kims. Be sure to try the home made ice creams and the Pavlova that
Australia is so famous for. The amazing selection of Australian and
European cheeses like King Island Camembert, the French Fromage de
Chevre and the Italian Gorgonzola simply can’t be left untouched. Meals
at Kims are a feast to the taste buds, enjoyed intensely and at length.
