Blue Mountains beauty

Offering spectacular vews, Lilianfels Blue Mountains Resort & Spa is located on Lilianfels Avenue, Echo Point in Katoomba. A renowned tourist location Katoomba is approximately 100 kilometres west of Sydney in the Blue Mountains at 1017 metres above sea level (3340 feet). It has an alpine climate with coastal influence, averaging winter temperatures of 9ºc maximum and 3ºc minimum. Summer average temperatures range between 22ºc maximum and 12ºc minimum.

The sheer beauty of its sandstone ramparts and wilderness has seen the Blue Mountains National Park declared a World Heritage area. In fact the Blue Mountains is an uplifted sandstone plateau with deep valleys carved over eons by swift flowing rivers. Civilisation, as a collection of townships, clings to the main Great Western Highway as it winds its way up to Katoomba and beyond from Sydney. The valleys systems, such as the Jamieson and Grose, not only offer some of Australia's most spectacular scenery, they afford those seeking adventure a playground of untouched wilderness for bushwalking, abseiling and canyoning.
