Mountains, lakes and rolling farmland

Located 5 kilometres from the resort township of Te Anau, Fiordland Lodge is nestled between the mountains of World Heritage listed Fiordland National Park and a tranquil rural landscape, just a 10-minute walk from the shores of Lake Te Anau. This region is the gateway to world-famous Milford and Doubtful Sounds, as well as a wide range of walks and other adventure opportunities.

Te Anau lies at approximately 45.22° South and 167.45° East, with an average summer temperature of 22°C (72°F) and winter temperatures averaging 10°C (50°F).

Guests can either drive to the property, or take an Air New Zealand or Qantas flight to Queenstown Airport – 175 kilometres (a two-hour drive) from Fiordland Lodge. Transfers from the airport can be arranged at additional cost, with options including a rental car, coach and shuttle buses, or private limousine or four-wheel drive.

Directions from Queenstown

Turn left from the Queenstown Airport road on to State Highway 6 and travel for approximately 100 kilometres to the Five Rivers junction. Turn right here and follow the signs to Mossburn and Te Anau. Once at Mossburn, turn right on to State Highway 94 and travel to Te Anau. All junctions are well signposted.

At Te Anau, take State Highway 94 to Milford Sound. Five kilometres north of Te Anau (at number 472 Te Anau–Milford Highway) you will see the Lodge signposted on your right. Turn up this drive, taking the middle road where it forks into three. Note: you cannot see the Lodge from the main road.
