The Lodge still retains the original 1858 homestead with its limestone walls. The Lake View deluxe rooms and luxurious Grasmere Suite are in a separate building that contains its own guest lounge and mezzanine library and lies beside a landscaped pond.The Mountain View Chalet, built in a Colorado alpine style, houses the junior suite bedrooms, connected to a large central lounge with fireplace. Guest Room Types Grasmere Junior Suite65 square metres - with a "sink-into-me" sofa and armchairs in front of the schist fireplace, and a walk-in wardrobe. (Interconnects with one Lake View Deluxe room)  Lake View Suite37 sq metres - view over the lawn and deer farm, to Lake Grasmere and the Puketeraki mountains in the distance. Two lake view deluxe rooms are interconnecting.  Mountain View Chalet SuiteCombination of one or more downstairs rooms in the Chalet and the central lounge or Great Room (54 sq metres) with eight-metre (26 feet) high-beamed ceiling, leather sofas seating eight, huge log fireplace. TV and video/DVD player is available.  Mountain View Junior Suite48 sq metres - with gas fireplace, refrigerator, butler's pantry (wetbar), tea and coffee making facilities, as well as all the features of Grasmere’s other rooms.  Riverview CottageIt features two junior suite bedrooms of 51 square metres (550 sq ft), each with their own gas fireplace, with walk-through wardrobes, separate toilets, and spacious bathrooms with individual vanities and jacuzzi baths.
