The Museum Hotel is a luxury hotel located in the centre of Wellington city opposite Wellington’s stunning harbour and New Zealand's national museum, Te Papa.  The hotel is a short stroll to Courtenay Place, Wellington’s lively entertainment precinct, to the vibrant waterfront and to Oriental Parade’s promenade and beach. Museum Hotel does not offer airport transfers, however we will happily arrange a Corporate Cab transfer at the guests expense. We can also arrange shuttles and limousines upon request at the guests expense.

Driving Direction

Exit Wellington Airport onto Stewart Duff Drive proceeding north onto Calabar Road. Take the first left onto Cobham drive and continue through the roundabout heading north east. Continue along Cobham drive onto Wellington Road. Take a right onto Ruahine road heading north then a left onto Taurima and proceed through the Mount Victoria Tunnel for approximately 1km. At the Traffic lights at the end of the tunnel, turn left onto Dufferin Street and continue right around the Basin Reserve exiting left onto Cambridge Tce. Continue north down Cambridge Tce for 1km and turn left onto Wakefield Street then take the second right onto Tory Street and first right onto Cable Street. The Musuem Hotel is on the right side with the entrance 50 meters along Cable Street.

Musuem Hotel is 8km from Wellington International Aiport; follow the signs “city”. Once on Cambridge Terrace follow the road onto Wakefield Street then turn 2nd street right which is Tory Street, Museum Hotel is on the right hand corner of Tory Street and Cable Street, the entrance to the hotel is on Cable Street.
