Simply elegant
All 74 rooms and suites at The Regency have high ceilings, at least one large window, air-conditioning and a rich architectural heritage that includes original Burma teak floors, lavish use of wood and natural tones. Most guest rooms have ocean views, while others overlook the Galle Face Green promenade, the shopping arcade or the city.
Modern facilities include a mini-bar, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, TV and WiFi access. Beds vary from queens to king (a special size of 7.5 x 6.5 feet), with twin beds in some rooms, and the hotel offers a full array of services.
The luxurious suites are all individually designed and range from a single bedroom to those consisting of two, three, four and even eight bedrooms. All are extra large and have living and dining areas, and a jacuzzi rather than a bathtub.
Accommodation styles
Deluxe Rooms
42 rooms – Spa Deluxe (garden views) or Oceanic Deluxe (sea views). All have a king bed or twin beds, and a bathroom with separate bath and rain shower.
Oceanic Suite
Suite with a king bed, sitting area, direct sea view, rain shower and in-room jacuzzi.
Standard Rooms
16 rooms - featuring a bath with rain shower. Eight rooms have direct ocean views; others overlook the shopping arcade.
Oceanic Spa Suite
Large suite room with a king bed and sitting area, full ocean or pool view, plasma TV, bathroom with jacuzzi and walk in shower. Private balcony with jacuzzi and sunbathing area.
