Kayumanis Nanjing Makes the Hot List 2008

Nanjing - China, May 2008   Kayumanis Nanjing is celebrating the official announcement of its inclusion in CondeNast Traveller's Hot List 2008, both in its US and UK edition. The US annual compilation recognizes 136 Top New Hotels in the world, appraising the location, service, design and value. At the same time, the UK Hot List acknowledges just 65 new hotels from around the world that stand out from the rest in terms of style, luxury and innovation.

CondeNast Traveller is a prestigious monthly publication for seasoned international travellers and to be featured within its pages is indeed an honour in its own right. The magazine sets out to expose exotic destinations, seek inner city sophistication and journey to unique lands all in the quest for the sublime travel experience.

The Hot List 2008 rates Kayumanis Nanjing along side a 12th century castle in Ireland, a private lodge at the base of a volcano in Rwanda and a retreat on a secluded fishing island off the Thai coastline.

Guest Testimony

“Certainly a Kayumanis standard!”
It was an amazing stay. We are a bunch of Kayumanis fans decided to pick Kayumanis Nanjing not long after its opening for an experience of luxury in China. It was awesome! It's certainly at pair with its other Kayumanis siblings in Bali, Indonesia. It's Package was very well devised and did achieve its promotional value.
The excursions did a great job presenting Nanjing's culture and its story-telling setting at the Presidential Palace were educational!
I'd love to go again, this time probably with more people and try the two bedroom residence!!!

“Extraordinary!”
We have just stayed in Kayumanis, Nanjing. It is just simply out of this world. We stayed in one room villa, which is very spacious, clean and comfortable. The butler service is 24 hours and they go the extra mile for the guests. I will just mention the 2 instances out of the many that are surprising:
1) During our excursion trip to Suzhou, we liked a painting a lot and the shop did not take any AMEX or Mastercard. The driver and the butler/tourguide, Clement and Alex, helped us find a solution that are easy for everybody.
2) After our trip from Nanjing, we went to Beijing, we received a phone call from one of the rep, to ensure that our trip to Beijing was smooth and the stay was good. (although there is no Kayumanis in Beijing).
Shame are those 5-6 stars hotels, where we stayed in Beijing, Kayumanis service is an award winning service. That's all I can say!!

“Second visit as perfect as the first!”
Our second visit confirmed that the staff put this luxurious getaway in a class of its own. Their impeccable, but warm and sincere service with attention to every detail is second to none.
Each villa is spacious, elegant and completely private.
Complimentary breakfasts are outstanding and so is the pastry chef. Going back again with friends in March.
Total indulgence!

“Still the best!”
We're so in love with Kayumanis that we invited 2 other couples to join us there for the Easter weekend. Their first experience exceeded our rave reviews. The news of this great resort is spreading fast as they were at full capacity with couples from Hong Kong; however, that didn't detract from the warm, attentive service from the wonderful staff. This time we took advantage of the many activities available for guests including cooking class, Chinese culture, biking, massages, facials, and a guided tour.
Our friends agreed that this spa gets a 5-star rating in every category.

“Absolute paradise for a Couple”
Our friends are living in Shanghai, teaching for a year, and found this resort early in the year. They loved it, and recommended it as a place for celebration for the reunion of 6 friends over this past Easter weekend.
We were 3 couples, and during the weekend, one person celebrated a 70th birthday, and my husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary.
The General Manager, Mintoro, and his staff always went absolutely above and beyond our every request if we had any. The food was Asian/Fusion and exquisite. They even presented us with beautiful gourmet cakes on the 2 special occasions over the 3 nights we were there!
Each couple had their own villa, providing privacy unmatched by anything we'd ever seen, and we hardly saw any other guests all weekend. The furnishings were lovely, and the decorating touches to make us feel special were evident from the mini bar stocked with our preferred beverages to the in-villa CD's of our preferred music taste. The spa staff were lovely, very well trained and professional, and I would have had more treatments, but ran out of time. We took a privately guided 1 day tour of the Nanjing area which was arranged by the resort, which was very worthwhile and good value.
Bottom line, if you want to feel special and pampered, this unique property delivers beyond expectation. Check out their website, and believe what it says. I would love to go back someday, or visit one of their properties in Bali. Absolutely divine.
Thanks again Mintoro, for helping us to create wonderful memories!
