World-class cuisine and wines

Dining is a highlight at Mom Tri’s Villa Royale. The property boasts one of Phuket’s finest restaurants, Mom Tri’s Kitchen, which specialises in gourmet ‘fusion cuisine’ – an inspired blending of Oriental and European ingredients and flavours. Seafood and Thai dishes are a specialty, while house favourites include crab soufflé, lamb rosemary, chilli salmon, and home-made chocolate soufflé and lemon tart.

Dining takes place on the covered Patio, on the open-air Garden Terraces, or indoors in the Sala Lounge, where live music adds to the romantic and sensual atmosphere. The views of the tranquil Andaman Sea are nothing short of sensational.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Mom Tri’s Kitchen features the award-winning Wine Cavern, offering some 160 labels and including over 30 fine organic wines from around the world. The restaurant has received an ‘Award of Excellence’ from the prestigious USA-based Wine Spectator Magazine.

Room service is also available, while another leisurely option is the daytime poolside menu, featuring light snacks, organic dishes and healthy fruit concoctions.

Tropical Delights and Award Winning Wines

The pampered guests at Mom Tri’s Villa Royale are treated to Phuket’s very best fine dining.

The celebrated Mom Tri’s Kitchen, set in wonderful tropical gardens, offers three romantic and very sensual dining areas, all with relaxed sophisticated surroundings, and superb views of the ocean and sunset. Dine in the open-air Garden Terraces, on a covered patio area, or in the indoor Sala Lounge, complete with atmospheric live music.

Mom Tri’s menu has, quite rightly, been described as ‘inspired’ and ‘exuberant’. The cuisine is inventive: a fusion of Western and Oriental flavourings, and a combination of Thai cuisine and European favourites.

Talented chef Sura Putha, a Thai national who has worked in Indonesia, and under a Michelin star chef in France, creates his superb ‘fusion-style’ menu from the very best ingredients – including local vegetables and herbs; fine seafood, such as salmon and freshly-caught crab; home-made fettucine; and tamarind and other tropical Thai fruits for desserts.

Focusing on seafood and French dishes, the menu changes daily. House specialities include chilli salmon, lamb rosemary served with spicy noodles, tuna carpaccio with ginger and coriander, flambéed rock lobster with jasmine rice, and home-made desserts such as chocolate soufflé and lemon tart. Sura Putha’s signature dish is hot crab soufflé, made from fresh blue Andaman Sea crabs and flavoured with exotic spices.

Accompanying these exquisite dishes are fine wines from Mom Tri’s acclaimed cellars. The Organic Wine Cellar is devoted exclusively to a selection of over 30 of the world’s best organic wines, while the Wine Cavern offers another 130 or so labels from selected vineyards in France, California, New Zealand, Chile, South Africa and other countries.

For casual dining, Mom Tri’s poolside menu offers light snacks and healthy fruit and organic dishes. Room service is also available.
